Royal Chitwan National Park in the central Terai lowlands, Bardia National Park in the western Terai and Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve in eastern Terai provide some of the best wildlife and nature viewing places in Asia . Visit a wonderful world of lush sub-tropical jungles, tall elephant grass, lakes and rivers – home to some of the most endangered animals on earth, the elusive tiger and the prehistoric rhinoceros, including many species of mammals, birds, insects and reptiles. Tour by elephant back, jeep and boat. Savor the forest and its unique sanctuary on a quite nature walk with a local guide. For the more serious bird watcher the Kosi Tapu Wildlife Park , in south-east Nepal , provide a unique venue for watching migratory waterfowl, waders and shore birds that congregate along the Kosi River from December to February every year. The Chitwan National Park is one of the finest National parks in Asia and is listed into World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO. The park is home to more than 500 endangered Asian one-horned rhinoceros and to the largest populatin of the elusive and rare Royal Bengal tigers. Besides other animals like deer, leopards, langur, sloth bears, wild boars, monkeys, wild dogs, gaurs are also found here. Rare reptiles like Gharial and Marsh Magar crocodiles are also seen. Wildlife Safari in Chitwan can be one of the most adventurous activities.

Chitwan at Glance(1 night-2 days)
Day 01: Arrival on the resort, greetings and transfer to the resort. Refreshment drinks and briefing of the programs. After lunch visit Tharu village and National Park’s Visitors’ Centre. Evening sun-set view from the bank of Rapti River . Dinner with Tharu Stick dancing program or slide show on wildlife. Overnight in Resort.
Day 02: A.M. Breakfast, Elephant Back Safari. Transfer to Chitrasari or Tandi or Bharatpur for departure.


Close up Chitwan (2 nights-3 days)
Day 01:
Arrival on the resort, greetings and transfer to the resort. Refreshment drinks and briefing of the programs. After lunch visit Tharu village and National Park’s Visitors’ Centre. Day 02: AM: breakfast. Dugout canoe trip followed by a Nature Walk program or visit to the Elephant Breeding Farm .Take an ox-cart ride or jeep drive back to Resort.

Day 03: AM: After a cup of tea or coffee, you will go for bird watching tour. Breakfast. Transfer to Chitrasari or Tandi or Bharatpur for departure.

PM: Lunch. Jungle Safari excursion by Jeep or bicycle ride to �Twenty Thousand Lakes or an additional Elephant ride program in Baghmara or Kumroj forest adjoining to National Park or a whole day trek in the dense jungle of Chitwan National Park Dinner. Overnight in resort.
Day 04: AM: after late breakfast you will be transfered to Chitrasari or Tandi or Bhartpur Airport for your ownwards journey

 

Wildlife Safari in Bardia National Park:

Royal Bardia national Park situated in western Terai of Nepal is one of largest undisturbed parks in the region. The park is the home of many endangered animals, reptiles and birds – including the elusive Tiger. Some years ago several one horned rhinos where translocated here from Chitwan. Over the years Bardia has also been a good place for tiger viewing – a rare event anywhere. Recently sightings of a group of wild elephants have further enhanced the wildlife experience possible in this beautiful and unspoiled sanctuary.

A stay in this park can be combined with raft trip down the Karnali and Bheri rivers or with a trek to Dolpo, Rara Lake or Humla in far western Nepal .

Access:
By Air: Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj for an hour and drive to the lodge taken by our naturalist.
By Road: 15 hrs drive from Kathmandu or 11 hrs drive from Pokhara/Chitwan to Ambassa (the gate way of Royal Bardia National Park ) and drive to Lodge taken by our naturalist.

Day 01: Receive by jungle guide on the highway and proceed to resort. Arrive in the resort very early morning. Relax. Discover Tharu life and culture through our Tharu village/culture tour
Day 02: Whole day walking safari to view Gangetic Dolphins and swimming also possible.
Day 03: Exploration of Tiger territory by foot before lunch. Elephant back safari or jeep safari in the afternoon.
Day 04: Bird watching tour will be carried out very early morning followed by the opportunity to relax or explore the surrounding villages again. After lunch Departure to Kathmandu or Pokhara by a public bus

Wildlife Safari in Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve:

The Kosi Tapu and the Kosi Barrage in east Nepal provide one of the best places in Nepal to view migratory water fowl, waders and shore birds during the winter months. Many species not recorded elsewhere in the region have been seen here. Thousands of birds congregate here in January and February before they migrate north when the warm weather begins. Well qualified nature guides take the guests out on walks, jeep drives and boat rides to look for birds and the wild buffalo found only here in Nepal . It is possible to combine this tour with Sun Kosi Raft Trip or with treks in the eastern hills or with Darjeeling/Sikkim extension.

By Air: There is a regular flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar From Biratnagar a comfortable one and half an hours drive to the Camp.
By Rafting: An exciting 8-10 days raft trip on Sun Koshi river reaches directly at Koshi Tappu Reserve.
