Day 1: Arrive and Transfer to Hotel
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing
(Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Sakhu and hike to Nagarkot)
Today we will be having sightseeing to the following World Heritage Sites:
Pashupatinath Temple: Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most important shrines of the Hindu followers. It is one of the biggest and most powerful Shiva’s temples. This place possess much more of cultural behaves and exchanges. The art and the architecture can be seen scattered around each and every corner of the Pashupatinath temple.
Boudhanath: Boudhanath is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu and the largest one in Nepal. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism. The stupa is located in the town of Boudha, on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu.
After the sightseeing of Boudhanath we will drive further ahead till Sakhu and start the hike. The hike passes through beautiful villages and forests with excellent views of the mountains on the background. The hike is usually 3-4 hours walk depending upon the person’s walking skills.
Day 3: Changunarayan and Bhaktapur Sightseeing (Walk or Drive). Overnight in Kathmandu
We will have a ride till Changunarayan (Optional: walking to Changunarayan around 2-3 hours from Telkot. Local bus ride for ½ an hour till Telkot). Changunarayan Temple is one of the most ancient and historic temple that exist in north east side of Kathmandu near Bhaktapur. After visiting Changunarayan we head towards Bhaktapur Durbar Square which is around half an hour drive or 1-2 hours walk. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a perfect example of Ancient Nepalese art and architecture. One can also observe the lifestyle of ‘Newa People’. This square boasts up with numerous temples, ancient palaces, monuments and importantly culture.
Day 4: Drive to Chitwan. Optional Rafting
We will be driving towards Chitwan after breakfast. You can enjoy beautiful views of Mountains, Hills, Villages, and River throughout the ride. It will take around 5-6 hours drive to reach Chitwan. Upon reaching Chitwan Refreshment drink and briefing about the accommodation and the facilities will be briefed. After some rest the manager will brief you about the program of the following days. After that, visit to the Tharu village and the National Park Visitors Center. Sunset view from the riverbank is wonderful and soothing. Slide-show on the wildlife will be done after Dinner.
Day 5: Chitwan Activities
You will be escorted by expert naturalist on various exciting activities including Elephant Back Safari, Canoe ride, Jungle walk, Bird watching, Slide show, Tharu stick dance etc. O/N Chitwan
Day 6: Drive to Lumbini
Lumbini is one of the most prestigious and important pilgrimage sites to all the Buddhists. Lumbini being birthplace of “Gautam Buddha” attracts thousands of visitors every year. We will drive from Chitwan to Lumbini for excursions around Maya Devi Temple, Sacred Garden, and Different Monasteries around the site.
Day 7: Drive to Tansen
After stay in Lumbini we will drive to Tansen/Palpa via Siddhartha Highway with beautiful roadways scenario. Tansen is the beautiful hill station in the western Nepal on the way to Pokhara. Tansen is the headquarter of Palpa.
Day 8: Drive to Pokhara
We will continue the same highway further 122 kms to get to Pokhara. Pokhara is the most beautiful city of whole Nepal. Surrounded by numerous mountain ranges and couples of lakes, this place is a true example of nature’s creation.
Day 9: After breakfast ½ hour drive to Naudada and walk to Sarangkot. Overnight at local tea house lodge
Today we will drive to Naudada to start our hike till Sarangkot which is beautiful hillstation in Pokhara providing magnificent views of the Annapurna Mountain ranges. The sunrise and sunset observed in Sarangkot is simply breathtaking. Day 10: Walk down to Pokhara (2-2.5 hrs). Pokhara Valley Sightseeing after returning. Optional: Paragliding.
After breakfast we will be coming back down to Pokhara Valley and start sightseeing at Devis Falls, Bindabasini Temple, Seti George, Gupteswar Mahadev Cave and Fewa Lake. Another option is to take a thrilling paragliding ride back to Pokhara from Sarangkot.
Day 11: Drive to Bandipur after late breakfast (2-2.5 hrs drive). Free day at Bandipur
After late breakfast we will head towards Bandipur which is beautiful village in Tanahu District. Bandipur is famous for its ethnic beauty among the peoples living in here. The village is filled with the original culture and tradition that have been followed since ages till now. This place provides magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh and Langtang.
Day 12: After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu. Optional: Visit Manakamana on the way back
Today we will be returning to Kathmandu. On the way one can visit Manakamana Temple via the cable car if the time favors.
Day 13: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing at Swyambhunath, Patan and Kathmandu Durbar Square
Today we will be visiting the following Heritage Sites:
Swyambhunath: Swyambhunath Stupa is one of the oldest Shrines in Nepal. The monument is believed to be self created and the history of the monument backs to the 5th Century. It is also known as the Monkey temple as there are holy monkeys living in parts of the temple in the north-west. Swyambhunath complex is comprised of several other temples and shrine some dating back to the Licchavi period and museum, library and Tibetan monastery are recently added.
Patan: Patan also known as Lalitpur lies around five kilometers southeast of Kathmandu. It is the best representation of Nepalese art and architecture. It has the highest density of temples as compared to Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. Some of the common monuments are Krishna Mandir, Patan Durbar square, Mahaboudha, Hiranya Verna Mahavihar, Kumbheshwor and many more to see…..
Kathmandu Durbar Square- Kathmandu Durbar square reflects the palaces and the livelihood of kings of that era when Nepal was just coming into existence. This was the place where the foundation of modern Nepal is formed. This place used to be and still is the center heart of Kathmandu. It s filled with palaces astounding monuments, perfect handicrafts and art, the home of living goddess( Kumari) called Kumari Gahr, biggest example of a pagoda style monument and so on……
After the sightseeing we will be walking back to the hotel passing narrow streets of Kathmandu.
Day 14: Kathmandu Free Day
You can explore Kathmandu own your own this day. You can do last minute shopping for your loved ones.
Day 15: Final Departure
