Mt. Kanchenjunga Expedition

Mt. Kanchenjunga or Mt. K2 with the height of 8586 meters from sea level is the third highest peak in the world. Located on the far east border of Nepal and Indian hill town of Darjeeling was first climbed by a British Expedition in 1955 lead by famous rock climbers Joe Brown and George Band. There are five peaks that rise from the surrounding glaciers. The five mountains from southeast are south peak (8491m), Central Peak (8478m) and Main Peak further more west ward Yalung Kang and Khambachen rise tall among the clouds. The route to the summit is from the North face which is the safest yet very challenging. The climb is done very gradually with the support of Sherpa till the summit.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel and welcome dinner in the evening
Day 02/04: Stay in Kathmandu for paper work and some other necessary preparation
Day 05: Drive to Phidim (3158m) & Overnight in Lodge
Day 06: Leisure in Phidim for arrangement of porters
Day 07: Trek to Panchami & Overnight in Camp
Day 08: Trek to Doban & Overnight in Camp
Day 09: Trek to Khewang & Overnight in Camp.
Day 10: Trek to Yamphudin & Overnight in Camp
Day 11: Trek to Amje Khola & Overnight in Camp
Day 12: Trek to Toronto & Overnight in Camp
Day 13: Trek to Tseram & Overnight in Camp
Day 14: Trek to Ramje & Overnight in Camp
Day 15: Trek to Glacier Camp & Overnight in Camp
Day 16: Trek to Kanchenjunga BC
Day 17/19: Leisure at BC for acclimatization
Day 20/49: Preparing fixed rope line and high camps
Day 50/61: Climbing top of Kanchenjunga
Day 62: Return trek to Ramje & Overnight in Camp
Day 63: Trek to Amje Khola & Overnight in Camp
Day 64: Trek to Yamphudin & Overnight in Camp
Day 65: Trek to Khewang & Overnight in Camp
Day 66: Trek to Panchami & Overnight in Camp
Day 67: Trek to Ghopetar & Overnight in Camp
Day 68: Drive from Gopetar to Kathmandu Transfer to hotel
