Mt. Annapurna Expedition

Annapurna (8091m) is the first 8000- meter peak ever climbed. The first ascent was made in 1950 via the North face. The South Face of the Annapurna is one of the largest and the steepest in the whole world. The difficulty is as the same as its immense size and structure. The fatality rate in the Annapurna is way too much in comparison to other 8000-meter peaks due to high avalanche hazards. The Annapurna massif contains six major peaks over 7,200 m (23,620 ft) namely they are: Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III (7,555m), Annapurna IV(7,525m), Gangapurna(7,455m) and Annapurna South(7,219m).
